SUMMARY

The Warehouse Associate is responsible for receiving, loading and the storing cargo as it is received into the warehouse. Demonstrate the ability to drive the switcher and place trailers appropriately at the dock door.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

1) Receive, unload and store inbound shipments arriving into the warehouse in accordance with the warehouse layout and specifications.

2) Order pick and load outbound shipments per shipping documents and requests.

3) Maintain proper inventory control.

4) Insures products that are received or shipped are package correctly. If not, recoopers package.

5) Assists in building and facilities maintenance.

6) Follows all safety requirements and procedures.

7) Performs all additional duties as assigned and deemed appropriate by the company.

8) Properly blocks and braces cargo in outbound conveyance vehicles.

QUALIFICATIONS

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE

LANGUAGE SKILLS

Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of organization.

MATHEMATICAL SKILLS

Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, percentages, area, circumference, and volume. Ability to apply concepts of basic algebra and geometry.

REASONING ABILITY

Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form. Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.

The position requires that safety and alertness at all times be used in all transit of areas outside of the office environment.
