The Heavy Equipment Operator at No Name is a detail-oriented and motivated individual responsible for delivering exceptional site work and expertise through the operation of small, medium, and large pieces of equipment. This role involves direct collaboration with the Project Management and Superintendents, maintaining schedules, and ensuring safety and quality standards are met. Responsibilities

  • Operate small, medium, and large pieces of equipment including front end loaders, excavators, skid steer loaders, graders, etc.
  • Serve as a 'Subject Matter Expert' in site work.
  • Work directly with the Project Management and Superintendents.
  • Drive and/or operate diesel or gasoline powered equipment to/from/on jobsites.
  • Perform clearing, grading, excavations, and all other equipment functions of construction sites work.
  • Determine appropriate equipment, materials, and supplies required for each project.
  • Prepare and maintain daily reports and records of divisional activities including scheduling and attendance.
  • Prepare red line as-built records as project progresses for submittal for clearances and record keeping.
  • Follow directions, produce quality work, maintain safe working habits/conditions according to all Federal, State, and Company regulations and policies.
  • Finish base to a ¾” tolerance, possess the ability to finish different base courses such as lime rock, crush concrete, and soil cement.
  • Schedule Daily Functions such as lab reports/inspections, Municipality required inspections.
  • Keep and maintain Daily Work logs and reports.
  • Abide by OSHA and company protocols.
  • Maintain technical knowledge by attending educational workshops, reviewing publications.
  • Contribute to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed.

  • Completion of requirements for graduation from a standard senior-high or vocational school, or an equivalent combination of education, training, and experience.
  • Ability to operate small, medium, and large pieces of equipment.
  • Knowledge of Federal, State, and Company regulations and policies.
  • Ability to maintain safe working habits/conditions.
  • Ability to finish base to a ¾” tolerance.
  • Ability to schedule daily functions such as lab reports/inspections.
  • Ability to maintain technical knowledge by attending educational workshops.

Position Title: Heavy Equipment Operator (Excavation/Site Development)

Reports To: Director of Construction

Specific Heavy Equipment Operator Functions:

  • Must be able to operate small, medium, and large pieces of equipment ranging from front end loaders, excavators, skid steer loaders, graders, etc.·
  • Must always be available to serve as “Subject Matter Expert” in site work.·
  • Work directly with the Project Management and Superintendents.

Scope and Limits of Authority

Because the Heavy Equipment Operator works for multiple Project Managers & Superintendents and because of the nature of the work, they must work independently and be able to make sound well-considered decisions in the absence of his/her Project Manager/Superintendent. The Heavy Equipment Operator will coordinate with the Senior Project Manager in prioritizing workload, scheduling time off, and guidance, as needed.

Education and Experience Requirements

Completion of requirements for graduation from a standard senior-high or vocational school, an equivalent combination of education, training, and experience, which provide the necessary knowledge, skills and abilities, and other competencies required for the position may be considered.

Compensation will be dependent on your qualifications.
