We are seeking a Transportation Operations Manager to oversee daily in-house transportation operations, manage a team of chauffeurs and dispatchers, and ensure that our services are provided with exceptional quality, reliability, safety, and efficiency. Responsibilities

  • Manages daily in-house operations, a team of chauffeurs and dispatchers, and vehicles including acquisition, financing, and replacement.
  • Develops product/service strategy and keeps abreast of new and emerging luxury transportation solutions and trends.
  • Develops and manages fleet budget and controls cost, including supporting personnel requirements, material needs, subcontract requirements, and facility and equipment needs.
  • Ensures all established costs, quality, and delivery commitments are met.
  • Creates and enforces transportation-related policies and establishes production and quality control standards.
  • Obtains data regarding types, quantities, specifications, and delivery dates of products ordered.
  • Conducts investigations in cooperation with government agencies to determine causes of transportation accidents and to improve safety procedures.
  • Monitors vehicle performance and cost and directs activities for maintenance and repair.
  • Performs administrative activities associated with the effective management of shop operations, including compiling, storing, and retrieving production data for reports.
  • Maintains records related to all company operations as well as compliance with DOT regulations.
  • Negotiates contracts with vendors performing maintenance and repairs.
  • Plans and implements energy-saving changes, such as reducing routes, optimizing capacities, employing alternate modes of transportation, or minimizing idling.
  • Coordinates activities with all other functions of the company to ensure the provision of services with exceptional quality, reliability, safety and efficiency.
  • Trains and ensures all assigned employees are aware of and comply with company, government, and customer policies, procedures, and regulations.
  • Utilizes network of industry players and stakeholders to achieve the company’s objectives.
  • Utilizes fleet management software and related products on a computer or mobile as necessary.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

Required

  • Bachelor's degree in management or related field.
  • 5-7 years of experience as a Transportation Operations Manager or in luxury fleet management and coordination, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Experience in personnel and material resource management.
  • Strong project management skills.
  • Ability to smoothly coordinate and manage a luxury fleet, including budgeting and development and enforcement of transportation-related policies and services.
  • Ability to comply with transportation rules and regulations.
  • Knowledge of traffic laws, routes and traffic patterns in the target areas.
  • Knowledge of vehicle operations and maintenance.
  • Knowledge of industry players, solutions and trends.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication, and persuasion skills.
  • Excellent monitoring skills and attention to detail.
  • Critical thinking, complex problem solving and decision-making.
  • Excellent time management.
  • Social perceptiveness and teamwork.
  • Customer oriented with highly professional demeanor.

Job Summary

Job Type: Full-time.

Pay: $24-$27 per hour.

Expected hours: No less than 40 per week.

Benefits: Paid time off.

Schedule:

  • Day shift with paid extended hours as needed.
  • Monday to Friday.
  • Weekends as needed.
