The Building Maintenance Technician is responsible for performing daily building maintenance tasks for a Residential Property in Amityville, NY. Responsibilities
- Maintains cleanliness, order, and safety in maintenance shop
- Performance of general maintenance tasks
- Plumbing- clearing stoppages, repairing and replacing fixtures, repairing leaks
- Electrical – replacing fixtures, switches, and outlets. Changing breakers if necessary
- Door locks and hardware repairs
- Painting and spackling
- Acoustical ceiling repair and replacement
- Tile repair and caulking
- Cleaning of the common areas
- Answer work order requests and perform repairs
- Keep the exterior including the presentable and safe
Qualifications
Required
- Must be able to pass drug screen criminal background screening, driving record screen
- Ability to deal with problems while conducting one ‘self in a professional manner
- Computer proficiency - MS Office Suite / Yardi /Co-star experience a plus
- Cell Phone –Pager Proficiency
- Ability to work on ladders
- Ability to work in Suffolk county Long Island
- Ability to work in a team environment as well as alone

The Building Maintenance Technician is responsible for performing daily building maintenance tasks for Residential Property in Amityville, NY. The Building Maintenance Technician must represent the ownership of the building in a courteous and professional manner at all times, while maintaining the facility in a first-class manner and giving the utmost attention to the tenant/guests experience. In this role the Maintenance Technician will work with Tenants/Guests, Property Management Team, as well as outside vendors. The Maintenance Technician reports to the Building Manager and must be able to communicate effectively with tenants and other staff members. Typical hours are Monday thru Friday 8:00 am to 5:00 pm. However, Maintenance Technician must be available during non-business hours for building emergencies and other urgent matters.
