  • Demonstrating commitment to continuing education and training, including attending staff meetings, educational programs, and professional conferences

Qualifications

Required

  • Must be a Registered Nurse in the State of Idaho
  • Hold a current BLS certification; ACLS optional
  • At least one year of direct patient care experience is preferred
  • Working knowledge of nursing, healthcare safety, state and federal regulations, and regulatory processes
  • Capable of supervising multiple aspects of patient care and individuals providing that care
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English
  • Ability to manage, support, and work cooperatively with patients, individuals, and committees
  • Must have a valid driver’s license and available automobile in good operating condition

Hours: 40/week

Shifts: Days, with rotating calls and weekends

ABOUT THE POSITION

Our Home Health and Hospice Nurses provide compassionate services for a variety of patients—ranging from pediatric to geriatric—in a variety of ways, such as wound care, surgery follow-up, or end-of-life care. In everything from nursing duties to patient/family education or counseling, Home Health and Hospice Nurses offer vital and appreciated care for their patients and support for families.

More specifically, some of your daily responsibilities would include:

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS

  • Regular and predictable attendance is required
  • Regularly required to stand; walk; use hands to finger, handle, or feel; reach with hand and arms; and occasionally stoop, kneel, crouch, crawl, or twist
  • Occasionally required to sit, climb, or balance
  • Occasionally required to operate foot controls and lifts
  • Frequently able to move or push up to 35 pounds and occasionally able to lift, carry, move, or push up to 100 pounds
  • Specific vision abilities include close, distance, color, and peripheral vision
  • Frequently required to drive a vehicle
  • Must comply with HIPAA and patient privacy
  • Must wear PPE as situations require

WORK ENVIRONMENT

  • FCMC operates 24 hours per day each day of the year: operational needs of departments may require that you be available to work all shifts, weekends, and holidays to meet the needs of the patients
  • Potential exposure to blood, body tissue and fluids, contagious diseases, and hazardous waste
  • Occasional exposure to bodily injury, loud or unpleasant noise, unpleasant odor, and emotional or physical stress
