Auburn Distribution Company is seeking a Staff Accountant to join their team, reporting directly to the Director of Finance. Responsibilities

  • Enter accurate and timely journal entries.
  • Maintain and distribute daily reporting to the management team and executives.
  • Initiate weekly vendor payments via wire/ACH.
  • Manage prepaids and fixed assets, including the creation and maintenance of depreciation schedules and monthly journal entries.
  • Calculate, submit, and pay sales & use tax in accordance with state guidelines.
  • Perform month end close tasks ensuring each month is closed in a timely manner.
  • Be a key resource in the year end close and audit process.
  • Work on ad hoc projects and additional reports as needed.

Qualifications

Required

  • Degreed individual with 3+ years of experience
  • Understand and practice sound accounting fundamentals
  • Energetic, detail-oriented, meticulous, and very well-organized
  • Excellent computer skills (MS Office) and a solid understanding of ERP systems (NetSuite experience preferred)
  • Professional and pleasant demeanor
  • Flexible and willing to jump from one task to another when necessary
  • Works well under pressure
  • Shows initiative to take on additional responsibilities and to improve processes
  • Great sense of humor and works well with people at every level of the organization
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Well-rounded individual with a solid accounting background

This growing distribution business is looking for an energetic and dependable individual to join our team as a staff accountant reporting directly to the Director of Finance.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
