Randa Apparel & Accessories (RAA) is offering a 10-week Packaging Design Internship for Summer 2025, aimed at Fine Art or Design majors in Graphic, Industrial, or Packaging. The internship provides an opportunity to be exposed to Packaging Design Functions, including Graphic and Industrial Design, Visual Marketing, and more. Interns will participate in meetings, collaborate on projects, and work on a group project to present to various leaders within the organization.

Responsibilities

  • Participate and collaborate in internal and external meetings and projects.
  • Use Microsoft Sharepoint for resources and file archiving.
  • Explore and develop packaging concepts and update existing packaging to meet current needs.
  • Create packaging part numbers through the PLM database system.
  • Use Adobe Illustrator and Photoshop to create artwork.
  • Use HP DesignJet plotter, utility knives, and adhesives to create physical mockups and showroom collateral.
  • Exposure to ArtiosCAD and Kongsberg table to create physical mockups.
  • Use 3D software Sketchup and rendering software Keyshot to create digital mockups.
  • Use a lightbox and Pantone swatches to accurately review factory samples for production.
  • Apply brand standards to licensed packaging.
  • Work in-office Monday-Friday, Friday being a half-day

Qualifications

Required

  • Fine Art or Design majors in Graphic, Industrial, or Packaging
  • 3.0 GPA or higher
  • Experience with Adobe Illustrator and Photoshop is a must

Preferred

  • Experience with Trimble Sketchup and Keyshot is a plus
  • Use Microsoft Outlook and Teams for written and virtual communication

In this 10-week specialized program, you will be exposed to Packaging Design Functions. You will assist the Packaging team and be exposed to the fundamentals of Graphic and Industrial Design and Visual Marketing.

Project

Interns will be assigned a group project and a mentor to help provide coaching & support throughout the project. The project will be presented in the final week to various leaders within the organization. The goal is to research and present a solution or recommendation based on white space within the company. This will give interns an opportunity to work with cross-functional departments and individuals across our multiple locations to put together a solution to create a positive change.
