Responsibilities

Priorities can often change in a fast-paced environment like ours, so this role includes, but is not limited to, the following responsibilities:

• Design HVAC systems
• Prepare design documents for permitting bidding and construction.
• Review of construction documents prepared by other consultants.
• Design coordination with the consultants.
• Project management and oversite.
• Attend meetings during the design of a project and during construction.
• Collaborates effectively with colleagues, contractors, and clients.

Requirements

Essential Skills and Experience:

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering.
• 8 plus years of design experience for HVAC systems for a variety of facilities for educational, institutional and state agency and municipal projects.
• Proficient in and AutoCAD required.
• Proficient in preparing designs for HVAC systems.
• Candidate with NYS PE license is preferred.
• Candidate with NYCHA experience is preferred.
• Capable of preparing cooling and heating load calculations.
• Proficient with the Microsoft Office Excel and Word.
• Excellent attention to detail.
• Excellent written and communication skills.
• Excellent creative thinking skills.
