  • Ability to objectively monitor and accurately document the status of the individuals supported.
  • Successfully complete required trainings.
  • Attend staff meetings and in-service trainings deemed essential.
  • Attendance and punctuality are essential functions of the job.

  • A high school diploma or general education degree (GED)
  • Valid driver's license with a good driving record. Reliable transportation to work.
  • Must be able to lift 25-50 lbs. with assistance or use of barrier-free lifting device. Bend/squat, push/pull or kneeling without limitation.

An essential element of this job is to convey steady encouragement to ensure the growth of skills needed for daily living; this includes establishing high-quality relationships. DSP's promote healthy living, healthcare management, and natural supports. Staff develop skills and abilities to remain calm during demanding situations, while ensuring the maintenance of a healthy and safe home environment.

NOTE: This is also a perfect position for college students seeking flexible schedules (per diem) while gaining hands on experience in all facets of the human service industry.

  • Pay Rate: $20 to $21 hourly
