The Behaviorist at APluscare LLC is responsible for the development and implementation of behavioral support services under the supervision of a BCBA. Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement behavioral support services under the supervision of BCBA.
  • Ensure behavioral support plans and programs comply with legal orders, rules, and regulations.
  • Provide training on implementing formal comprehensive behavior support plans.
  • Monitor and modify behavioral support plans as needed for effectiveness.
  • Develop behavior intervention strategies with the Interdisciplinary Team (IDT) and clinical team.
  • Implement current DHS/DDD rules and regulations, policies and procedures.
  • Act as a liaison between APluscare, clients, families, staff, and DDD/DHS staff.
  • Coordinate with IDT, clinical team, and other parties to enhance the integrity of behavioral support programs.
  • Maintain weekly visits to the residential programs to evaluate and monitor behavioral supports effectiveness.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by APluscare.

Qualifications

Required

  • Master's degree in Psychology or related field.
  • Master's Degree in Social Work, ABA, Special Education, or other discipline as approved by the Executive Director.
  • Strong organizational, writing, verbal, and interpersonal skills.
  • Creativity and flexibility.
  • Experience working in diverse communities with developmental disabilities preferred.
  • Cooperation with licensee and department staff during inspections or investigations.
  • Successful completion and demonstration of proficiency in all required training.
  • Ability to push, pull, and lift up to 50lbs.
  • Valid Driver's License.
  • At least 18 years of age.

Job Duties:

  • Under the supervision of BCBA, development and implementation of behavioral support services to meet the changing needs of persons receiving services while complying with applicable service protocols and regulations for each person served
  • Ensures that behavioral support plans and programs conform with applicable legal orders, rules, and regulations as applicable to each client
  • Under the supervision of BCBA, provide training to the Program Supervisors, Program Coordinators and DSPs team on implementing formal comprehensive behavior support plans
  • Under the supervision of BCBA, monitors and modifies any changes as needed for effectiveness
  • Develop behavior intervention strategies with the Interdisciplinary Team (IDT) and clinical team in accordance with the program model, as well as APluscare policies and procedures
  • Understand and implement current DHS/DDD rules and regulations, policies and procedures
  • Act as a liaison between APluscare, clients, families, staff and DDD/DHS staff to ensure continuum of care and support for clients
  • Coordinates with IDT, clinical team, and other parties as needed to enhance the integrity of behavioral support programs
  • Maintains weekly visits to the residential programs in order to evaluate and monitor behavioral supports effectiveness for clients served
  • All other duties as assigned by APluscare

Qualifications:

  • Creativity and flexibility are essential in assuming significant responsibility
  • Experience working in racially, ethnically, and socioeconomically diverse communities working with developmental disabilities preferred
  • Employee must cooperate with the licensee and department staff in any inspection or investigation
  • Employee must successfully complete and demonstrate proficiency in all areas of required training
