Job Description:

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Project Manager to lead an exciting, long-term engagement within a museum or gallery environment. Museum experience is essential. The successful candidate will have a minimum of 5 years of experience in planning and managing projects in construction, fabrication, or fine art logistics and be ready to adapt scope, schedule, and budget as necessary.

Key Responsibilities:

• Oversee the full project lifecycle, ensuring goals and objectives are met.
• Plan, assign, and supervise the work of team members, including art/artifact handlers.
• Monitor project scope, schedule, and budget with a working knowledge of project management software.
• Prepare detailed reports and schedules to keep all stakeholders informed.
• Effectively communicate with curators, contractors, vendors, and other key stakeholders.
• Ensure compliance with all applicable standards and practices in the museum or gallery environment.

Qualifications:

• Minimum of 5 years of experience in project management within construction, fabrication, or fine art logistics in a museum or gallery setting.
• Proficiency in project management software (e.g., MS Project, Trello, Asana).
• Strong ability to manage scope, schedule, and budgets in dynamic environments.
• Excellent leadership skills with the ability to supervise and mentor a diverse team.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build relationships with stakeholders at all levels.
• Knowledge of museum or gallery operations and artifact handling is a plus.
