  • Maintain a sanitary and organized kitchen including routine cleaning of appliances and equipment
  • Post weekly menu plan for residents and file all menus for a minimum of 6 months
  • Arrange for food pick-up at the donation sites
  • Order food supplies on weekly basis
  • Ensure menu supplies and preparation directions for other staff who cook
  • Keep agency kitchen checklist per facility guidelines
  • Encourage resident help in kitchen operations including meal preparation, clean-up, and dishwashing as part of agency life skills training
  • Maintain records in keeping with agency guidelines
  • Attend scheduled staff meetings, community meetings, and trainings/conferences when on duty and as assigned
  • Review daily log and documents after each shift and communicate other staff members of any emergency situations
  • Provide immediate crisis intervention and resolution as needed

Qualifications

Required

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Current CPR/First Aid certification
  • Current Food Handlers card
  • Ability to work non-traditional schedule as required by the residential facility including holidays as assigned
  • Have legible handwriting
  • Ability to do simple mathematics
  • Ability to read and comprehend agency policy and procedures
  • Valid drivers license and clean driving record to use agency vehicles

Our Cascade Hall location has a fantastic opportunity available for a Residential Cook.

Our Cook will work to prepare and coordinate all food services for a 24-hour adult residential treatment facility. They will work closely with a certified dietician to plan nutritious, well-balanced meals in accordance with the WAC Assisted Living Guidelines.

SCHEDULE

The available shift for this role is Saturday-Monday, 9:00AM-7:00PM (30 hours).
