Pantheon Data (a Kenific Holding company) is a private, small business based in the Washington, DC, area. Pantheon Data was founded in 2011, initially providing acquisition and supply chain management services to the US Coast Guard. Our service offerings have grown in the past ten years, including infrastructure resiliency, contact center operations, information technology, software engineering, program management, strategic communications, engineering, and cybersecurity. We have also grown our customer base to include commercial clients. The company has used this experience to expand our service offerings to other agencies within the Department of Homeland Security (DHS), the Department of Defense (DoD), and other Federal Civilian Agencies.

Position Overview

The Application Architect will play a pivotal role in long-term initiative planning and collaboration across the Enterprise Architecture Team. You will establish an end-to-end vision of the overall application design and provide technology leadership to the application architecture in terms of focus, technical direction, and breadth of coverage of relevant technologies.

Responsibilities

• Develop application architecture strategy in alignment with the Business goals
• Review business drivers and strategies understand the implications of the application architecture and identify/mitigate risks to solutions
• Define development guidelines and standards to be utilized in application development and integration
• Define transition steps and strategy from the current to the future application architecture
• Define the conceptual and detailed architecture for the development of applications and oversee the evolution of that architecture as the platform is deployed across the entire organization
• Assess and recommend new technologies to enhance application architecture and business capabilities 
• Work closely with other IT leaders, business stakeholders, and external partners to ensure the successful delivery of application projects
• Compiling and implementing application development plans for new or existing applications
• Manages an application architecture governance process develops, communicates, and ensures adherence to architecture processes, principles, policies, and standards for the enterprise
• Develop methods to integrate systems that interact and extend across the organization
• Develop and maintain IT ecosystem application architecture models, processes, and documentation

Required Skills and Experience

• Bachelor's degree in business or technology
• 10+ years of experience working in application architecture
• 10+ years of experience working in HR or application functions
• Experience of DoD Architecture Framework (DODAF)

Clearance Requirements

U.S. Citizenship with the ability to obtain and maintain a DoD Secret clearance.

Work Location

United States - Remote

Compensation

The salary range for this position is $150,000 - $180,000. This is not, however, a guarantee of compensation or salary. Rather, salary will be set based on experience, geographic location and possibly contractual requirements and could fall outside of this range.
