Responsibilities

  • Check, sample, test, and record information on the chemical baths on the parts wash line, E-Coat line, Powdercoat, and Waste Water pre-treatment system
  • Work with paints, solvents, and chemicals
  • Physically able to move and/or lift drums and other chemical containers
  • Ensure hazardous waste sludge is managed and handled in a compliant manner
  • Read and follow a highly detailed set of instructions in taking samples and performing chemical and analysis
  • Adjust chemical baths as needed per instructions both written and oral
  • Record test information into a book or input into a computer
  • Troubleshoot and diagnose system and perform repairs and modifications of equipment
  • Perform daily preventive maintenance on systems
  • Utilize TOS support team in all work areas as applicable
  • Authorized lock out/tag out technician
  • Obtain Waste Water certifications within one year
  • Acquire HAZMAT training to respond to chemical spills in the work area
  • Successfully complete required training for managing hazardous materials and waste
  • Attend on and off-site training as scheduled
  • Forklift operators certification in accordance with OSHA standard for forklift performance or the ability to obtain certification within 30 days
  • Perform any other duties assigned by supervisor
