- Review accounts and inter-company transactions as well as process necessary journal entries.
- Develop explanations and analysis for any variances in the account or budget.
- Take responsibility for managing the accounting system, the Accounting Procedure Manual, and internal controls following GAAP.
- Oversee the process of depreciable and amortizable asset accounting.
- Assist in handling the organization's disbursement cycle, which includes areas such as accounts payable and payroll.
Qualifications
Required
- A bachelor's degree in accounting or a closely related field is required.
- Minimum of 3 years of progressively responsible, relevant experience.
Preferred
- Previous experience in a nonprofit organization is highly desirable.
