The Maintenance Mechanic at PQ is responsible for the efficient, cost-effective maintenance, repair, and preventive maintenance of all equipment, buildings, and facilities.   • Directs all or portions of maintenance work crew or in concert with others as directed.
  • Interprets and reacts to instrumentation readings to control the process.
  • Diagnoses problems and determines course of action to solve or correct situation.
  • Maintains housekeeping.
  • Ability to self direct assignments and complete in a safe and efficient manner.

Qualifications

Required

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Industrial Maintenance Experience 5+ Years Preferred
  • Completion of 4 Technical Trade Courses (Apprentice Program)
  • Must meet the specified physical capabilities for this position
  • Electrical Knowledge 480V MCC Buckets – Troubleshooting and Minor Repairs
  • Welding Experience
  • Able to follow Written and Verbal Instructions
  • Able to Demonstrate Basic Computer Skills
  • Good Interpersonal Skills, Work Well within Team Environments
  • Good Decision-making Skills
  • Must Demonstrate a Strong Work Ethic
  • Understanding of LOTO, Hot Work, Line Break, SOP, etc.
  • Ability to pass forklift certification course
  • Pass PQ Maintenance Mechanic Written and Skills Tests
  • Must meet the specified physical capabilities for this position
