Engineered Systems, Inc is seeking an Apprentice Maintenance Technician to join their team. You will receive training on how to complete inspections, conduct maintenance, and troubleshoot mechanical and electrical problems on overhead cranes and hoists.
Engineered Systems, Inc. has been in business for over 50 years. We are seeking interested individuals to become trained technicians to assist in providing the highest level of service to our customers. We want our technicians to be able to work independently or in a team using their skills, knowledge, and common sense to accomplish the tasks required efficiently and effectively.
Qualifications:
Must be 21 years old
Must have a valid driver's license
Must be able to communicate effectively with supervisor, team members, and our customers
Ability and willingness to take direction and follow through as directed
Maintain a positive attitude
Ability to pass a DOT certification.
Ability to work on-call rotation and work overtime
Electrical and Mechanical experience is a plus but not required
Duties and Responsibilities
Actively supports the Company’s commitment to safety
Primary responsibility will be to perform OSHA and ASME inspections. Inspections help with preventive maintenance.
As an apprentice, you work under the supervision of a trained technician.
Technicians regularly perform maintenance on various brands and models of cranes and hoists [examples, brakes, VFD, operating controls, troubleshooting].
Apply problem solving skills
Ability to work with as a team, to handle multiple tasks while maintaining a positive attitude
Complete related documentation in a timely fashion.
Learn new skills and techniques associated with Crane and hoist maintenance while working with the trained technician.
Serve as on-call maintenance providing evening, weekends and holiday emergency service on a scheduled basis.
