The Skilled Maintenance Worker Level 1 at Adelbrook Inc is responsible for maintaining all agency buildings, grounds, furniture, vehicles, and other properties in accordance with OSHA safety regulations, agency, licensing, and accrediting agencies’ standards. Responsibilities

  • Maintains all agency buildings and makes repairs as needed.
  • Possesses specific skills in electrical, plumbing, carpentry, heating and air-conditioning, welding, auto mechanics, and small engine repair.
  • Maintains agency property and equipment including automobiles, vans, tractors, lawn mowers, snow removal equipment, vacuum cleaners, etc.
  • Ensures cleanliness and orderliness within the Maintenance Department and offices.
  • Maintains agency property and grounds including lawn care, shrub planting and care, snow removal, furniture repair, painting, etc.
  • Assists in sanitation control as requested.
  • Reviews all maintenance orders received and provides services on those work orders for which qualified.
  • Refers larger, more complicated work orders to the Maintenance Manager.
  • Checks for broken locks, bulbs in need of replacement, damage in need of repair, etc., at least weekly.
  • May be on-call as requested.
  • Supervises part-time and temporary maintenance staff, including youth in residence assigned for work experience.
  • Displays exemplary role modeling at all times on the job and when in contact with the children being served.
  • Performs other duties as assigned by the Maintenance Supervisor and/or Lead Maintenance Foreman.

Required

  • Minimum of High School Diploma or Technical School.
  • Two years of experience in a comparable position or trade.
  • Ability to lift a minimum of 50 pounds.
  • Ability to lift, bend, climb ladders, reach, stoop, and kneel in the performance of duties and responsibilities.
  • Must maintain a valid driver’s license and insurance through the agency’s insurance carrier.
  • Ability to drive agency vans, automobiles, pick-up trucks, and operate other agency equipment such as riding lawn mowers.

The Adelbrook Skilled Maintenance Worker, Level 1 (Skilled) performs all duties required to maintain the buildings, grounds, furniture, vehicles and other properties of Ädelbrook owned or leased in accordance with OSHA safety regulations, agency, licensing, and accrediting agencies’ standards. Reports to the Maintenance Manager. This is a full-time, non-exempt position. Tier level 1 is a skilled level position and should possess 6 years of experience or a specialty or institutional knowledge that is of high valuable to the agency.

Under general supervision and direction of the Maintenance Manager, maintains all agency buildings and makes repairs as needed. Possesses specific skills in three or more of the following areas:

· electrical

· plumbing

· carpentry

· heating and air-conditioning

· welding

· auto mechanics

· small engine repair

· Maintains agency property and equipment including automobiles, vans, tractors, lawn mowers, snow removal equipment, vacuum cleaners, etc… Ensures cleanliness and orderliness within the Maintenance Department and offices.

· Maintains agency property and grounds. Task include but are not limited to: lawn care, shrub planting and care, snow removal, furniture repair, painting, etc... Assists in sanitation control, as requested.
