Preschool Teacher

The Preschool Teacher at Children's Land of Wheeling is entrusted with the pivotal role of preparing young learners for their forthcoming educational journey. This role demands a seasoned educator who can craft a stimulating and nurturing learning environment that caters to the developmental needs of pre-kindergarten children. The Pre-K Teacher must have a comprehensive understanding of child development as it is essential to ensure the highest standards of education and childcare.

Roles and Responsibilities:

•Develop and implement age-appropriate lesson plans that foster physical, emotional, and intellectual growth.

•Monitor the children's developmental milestones and maintain detailed records of their progress.

•Facilitate a structured daily routine that includes educational activities, playtime, and rest periods.

•Always ensure the safety of the children by adhering to safety protocols and guidelines.

•Maintain a clean and hygienic classroom environment to prevent the spread of germs and illnesses.

•Collaborate with parents to keep them informed about their child's development and any concerns.

•Work closely with other staff members to ensure a cohesive and cooperative working environment.

•Create and utilize educational materials to stimulate the children's senses and promote learning.

•Organize activities that encourage the children to explore their surroundings and develop their motor skills.

•Participate in ongoing professional development to enhance skills and knowledge in early childhood education.

•Stay abreast of the latest developments in pre-kindergarten education and care.

Qualifications:

• Associate or Bachelor's or Degree in ECE or related field preferred

•Previous experience working with pre-kindergarten children.

• Mandated Reporter certification

•CPR and First Aid certification.

•Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

•Ability to work cooperatively in a team environment.

•Patience and a genuine love for working with young children.
