- Complete a pre-trip check to ensure safety of the vehicle.
- Safe operation of tandem axle feed truck or semi with trailer.
- Comply with DOT standards for electronic logbooks and adequate logs for billing purposes.
- Grind and manufacture complete feed (if required).
- Assist in loading complete feed trucks and unloading ingredient trucks.
- Assist in refilling the micro table.
- Operate forklift moving pallets inside and outside of a warehouse.
Qualifications
Required
- High School Diploma
- 2 years of agriculture and heavy equipment transportation experience (preferred)
- Ability to operate semi-tractor trailer combination during all seasons and times of day
- Ability to work in a Feed Mill environment with noise levels requiring hearing protection
- Subject to adverse weather conditions
- Ability to stand, walk, and be on feet 8 to 10 hours per day
- Frequent bending, reaching, squatting, and kneeling
- Frequent use of one or both hands/arms to grasp or pull
- Frequent lifting of objects weighing 3-20 pounds
- Occasional bending while pulling and/or lifting objects weighing up to 100 pounds
- Ability to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing
- Ability to attend and participate in meetings of various lengths
- Must have a valid driver’s license and reliable transportation to work
- Must possess a CDL or have the ability to obtain one

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS (other duties as assigned)
- Complete a pre-trip check to ensure safety of the vehicle.

POSITION SPECIFICATIONS
Education:
High School Diploma
2-year degree preferred
Experience:

Noise levels that require hearing protection in some areas
