Salary:

Salted Stone is a full-service global growth agency and HubSpot Elite Partner looking for a full-time Marketing Strategist to join our growing Strategy team.

We’d love you to join us!

Your mission will be to help our clients develop, implement, and optimize new strategies, technologies, and processes that tie together the entire customer lifecycle using the HubSpot platform.

You’ll serve as the architect behind a client's overall marketing strategy, which you’ll do by understanding your client's business goals, target audience, and competitive landscape to craft a comprehensive plan that aligns with their objectives.

In your new role as a Marketing Strategist at Salted Stone, you’ll get to:

  • Get involved with all elements of the Salted Stone Strategy Team Product offerings (e.g. Strategic Discovery, Ongoing Growth Programs, Strategic Workshops, and specific deliverable-focused engagements such as Buyer Personas, Customer Journey Maps, or Campaign Strategies).
  • Interact directly with clients and provide a translation layer to both creative and technically oriented marketers and developers, internally and on the client side
  • Run and/or contribute to client-facing calls, providing general marketing expertise and a complete understanding of tools to help clients understand and use offerings effectively.
  • Conduct ongoing research into strategy topics such as market analysis, buyer personas, marketing, and sales technology, to address customer challenges
  • Produce high-quality visuals and diagrams of strategy designs, campaign flows, user flows, buyer’s journey maps, and other strategic deliverables.
  • Produce and present strategic documents that provide a strong rationale for approach and tactics, with detailed plans for production and implementation.
  • Monitor deployed strategies to identify opportunities for revision or optimization.
  • Support the sales team in strategic sales conversations with prospective clients.

We’re looking for someone who has:

Qualifications in:

  • Marketing Strategy, Technical Marketing, Marketing/Revenue Operations, and Sales Operations, ideally suited for mid-career professionals.
  • Email marketing strategy and implementation, covering D2C lifecycle strategies to B2B sales sequences.

Expert skills in:

  • HubSpot (Sales Hub, Marketing Hub, Service Hub, CMS Hub, Operations Hub, and/or Commerce Hub).
  • Marketing automation strategy and implementation.
  • Paid media marketing, including search, display, social, and programmatic platforms.
  • Account-Based Marketing (ABM) strategies, tactics, and platforms.
  • Writing and documentation for compelling client-facing deliverables.

Practical experience in:

  • CRM and marketing automation platforms, with required HubSpot experience and a strong preference for Salesforce; additional experience with Marketo, Pardot, Eloqua, Active Campaign, Zoho, Sugar, or Dynamics is preferred.
  • Architecting and building scalable marketing, sales, and service operations strategies, typically using HubSpot software.
  • Analyzing opportunities to deploy creative solutions and automation that streamline productivity, reporting, and customer experience.
  • Communicating confidently with clients regularly.
  • Project management, organizational, and time management skills; comfortable managing multiple projects (budgets, timelines, personalities) simultaneously.

It would also be great (but not essential) for you to have the following:

  • Preferred: Previous agency experience in a client-facing role
  • Understanding of global data privacy laws (e.g., GDPR)
  • Proficiency with Google Apps (Gmail, Docs, Sheets, Slides, etc.)
  • Experience with marketing analytics tools (e.g., Google Analytics/GA4/GTM, HubSpot Reports, Salesforce Einstein, Snowflake, Tableau, Grow, Databox)
  • Knowledge of marketing/sales automation and business intelligence tools
  • Experience with SEM/SEO tools (e.g., SEMRush, Screaming Frog, Google Analytics, Google Search Console, Yoast)
  • Experience with other Marketing/Sales/CS Ops tools (e.g., Intercom, Drift, Zendesk)
  • Proficiency in project management software (e.g., Teamwork, Airtable, Asana)

Outside of your technical skills, we aim for the following competencies in all Salted Stone team members:

  • Team player. Friendly, authentic, collaborative, and makes an effort with relationships (the S2 team, clients, HubSpot). Shows care and respect for those around them and themselves. Lives our Values.
  • Growth mindset. Prioritizes learning and self-improvement. Shows motivation and dedication to growth, personally and professionally.
  • Agile. Adapts to changing priorities and conditions, complexity, and change.
  • Proactive. Demonstrates tenacity and acts without being told what to do. Brings new ideas to S2. Finds solutions and opportunities, not just problems.
  • Prioritises communication. Clear, transparent, and consistent with communication across their team, with their manager, other teams, and clients. If in doubt, over-communicates! Isn’t afraid to call out and help correct mistakes before they impact the team or the business.
