  • Make daily observations on health of each child.
  • Arrange classroom and prepare supplies for activities, may have responsibilities for certain learning centers.
  • Assist teacher to be sure equipment is accessible and in good condition.
  • Perform other duties assigned by the teacher.

Qualifications

Required

  • Be at least 18 years old.
  • Have completed high school or its equivalency as determined by the department of public instruction.
  • Each year after assuming the position must maintain continuing education, as stated in licensing rules for group daycare centers.
  • Be CPR and First Aid certified or is willing to obtain within 6 months of assuming the position.

Summary

If you're looking for a rewarding, flexible and family fun environment, look no further! Little Sprouts Discovery Center is a non-profit group daycare center located in Redgranite, WI. We are looking for an assistant teacher to work in our younger age classrooms for 30-40 hours a week. Must be available to work anytime between 5:30AM-5:30PM Monday through Friday. We prefer that you have already completed your initial child care classes or are willing to complete them as soon as possible after hire. You must be at least 18 years of age to apply.
This position assists the main teacher in developing and caring out the creative curriculum approved by the director, may be responsible for certain supplies, activities, or equipment. Teachers in this position are to assist the main classroom teachers in maintaining a happy and safe environment for the children.
