The Application Manager at ITPeopleNetwork is a strategic role responsible for managing and growing an application and data-centric consulting practice.   • Work with sales and account team members to develop solution approaches, estimates and deliver presentations to clients.
  • Operate independently to develop relationships with clients within the framework of intellectual, managerial, and pastoral support provided by the SLT team.
  • Work closely with account teams, clients, and engagement teams to forecast Application and Data skill and resource needs.
  • Provide thought leadership for the practice, both within ITPN and in client engagements.
  • Lead and coach a team of software developers, architects, and other technical staff.
  • Engage with clients to understand underlying business scenarios and propose value-added solution alternatives.
  • Provide technical oversight and coaching to consultants who are delivering client project work.
  • Develop a structured program of training and development for the team.
  • Participate in practice level planning, go to market strategy development, and thought leadership.

Full Job Description

The manager participates in all strategic, growth, and core account planning activities, facilitates sales enablement for the sales and account team and provide quality assurance and technical delivery oversight for Application and Data-centric projects. Success in this role is directly related to your ability to work with both clients and internal stakeholders to articulate a strategic approach to application and data solutions helping realize our client’s business objectives and to work with internal teams to deliver on the strategy. The Manager is responsible for growing their practice, managing/governing the delivery team, and ensuring high customer satisfaction for every client engagement.


In this role you will work directly with our sales and accounts team to build trusted relationships with clients, contribute to account plans and strategies, to engage with and build presence for the Application and Data- consulting team and lead a strong, client-focused consulting workforce. manager is an important and client-facing role for ITPN.


Responsibilities:


Business Development

  • Engage with the sales and account team to build strategic account plans for all clients.
  • Be the SME for the Application and Data Practice area for sales pursuits, to coordinate solution skills requirements to win opportunities, and engage directly with clients, as part of the leadership team required, to win business.
  • Drive and enable ITPN’s new business growth with defined revenue growth target for the practice at existing clients.
  • Support and when required lead pre-sales and account-based marketing efforts with client business decision makers for the Application and Data practice area.
  • Work with sales and account team members to develop solution approaches, estimates and deliver presentations to clients.
  • The manager will be expected to operate independently and with freedom to develop relationships with clients; but within framework of intellectual, managerial, and pastoral support provided by the SLT team.
  • The manager will work closely with account teams, clients, and engagement teams to forecast Application and Data skill and resource needs anticipating future work.


Technology Leadership

  • Provide thought leadership for the practice, both within ITPN and in client engagements.
  • O0wn application and data solution development technical processes. Establish and disseminate processes and practices to ensure consistent delivery of high-quality solutions to our clients.
  • Lead and coach a team of software developers, architects, and other technical staff.
  • Work with ITPN Infrastructure, Security, Project Management, and ITSM manager to ensure optimal solutions are delivered.
  • Engage with clients to understand underlying business scenarios and propose value-added solution alternatives.
  • Provide technical oversight and coaching to consultants who are delivering client project work.
  • Become known as though leader inside ITPN and in the marketplace by writing blogs, presenting at company sponsored events and/or speaking at conferences.
  • Manager will be encouraged to develop and refine ITPN’s approach through client engagements, contributing to the continuous improvement of ITPN’s products and services and to their own development as a SME.
  • Manager will be expected to contribute meaningfully to the intellectual output of ITPN and translate theory into practice and vice versa.
  • Manager will develop a structured program of training and development, and dissemination of new skills, capabilities and innovative practice developed through this training within the team.


People Leadership

  • Build delivery teams per internal or external client provided roles by screening & interviewing consulting team members.
  • Provide oversight and coaching to consultants throughout project delivery by engaging in team communication and offering escalation support and guidance.
  • Contribute to the growth of the Application Practice area by interviewing consultants and working with HR and other third-party partners (C2C) as needed to staff and deliver client engagements.
  • Provide coaching and mentorship to Application practice consultants to ensure they are both engaged and prepared to deliver high-quality results for our clients.
  • The manager will ensure resources, financials, quality assurance, and relationship management are of a high standard to deliver to both client and ITPN objectives for each piece of work.

Teamwork

  • Participate in practice level planning, go to market strategy development, thought leadership for the Application and Data Practice area.
  • Support other team members to develop their skills, play an active role in team meetings, be an enthusiastic learner.
  • The manager will act in accordance with ITPN vision and values and act an SME for ITPN in all that they develop and widen ITPN network, and manage relationship to enhance impact, brand and identify new business areas.
  • Building meaningful relationships with colleagues, partners, clients and within the Application and Data Practice area is a critical determinant of success for ITPN. Work with ITPN Infrastructure, Security, Project Management, and ITSM manager to shape ITPN delivery practices.
