Retail Sales/Stock/Kitchen at Old Paths Natural Market

Old Paths Natural Market in Central, LA is looking for a part time (10-15+/- hours a week) SALES ASSOCIATE to join our team for weekends and some week day evenings. This position has the potential to be full time in the future. We are located on 13623 Hooper Road. Job position STARTS at $9 an hour (depending on experience) with potential future raises as a direct result of performance and responsibilities executed. Sales Bonuses can be earned and in store discounts are given.

Candidate must have an interest in the health and wellness industry with a willingness to increase knowledge through educational opportunities. Old Paths exists to serve our community with their health and wellness needs.

Saturday and Sundays are required. Typical daily hours run from 9:30 am to 6:15pm. We try to rotate weekends so that you don't have to work every weekend.

Responsibilities:

• Welcomes customers by greeting them and offering them assistance.
• Directs customers by escorting them to our products.
• Advises customers by providing information on products.
• Processes payments by totaling purchases; processing checks, cash, and store or other credit cards.
• Use judgment to solve customer problems
• Maintains scheduling commitments
• Must be able to remain on feet for 4-5 hour shift.
• Keep show room organized and neat through light housekeeping, stocking and straightening.
• Cafe Host/Hostess making coffee, making cafe items, serving customers and displaying samples
• Inventory maintenance such as checking in orders, stocking, pricing and moving inventory, Some lifting may be required.
• Making and Packaging exclusive Old Paths products.
• Posting products to our social media account

Qualifications

• Retail sales and/or food service experience is desired but not necessary.
• Must be a multi-tasker and flexible, hours and duties may change depending on the needs of the store.
• Friendly and outgoing personality- patient when dealing with difficult customers.
• Excellent verbal skills
• Interest in health and wellness is A MUST!
• Able to problem solve as issues arise
• Must work at least one Saturday a month, occasionally 2
