The Program Supervisor at Mental Health Partnerships (MHP) is responsible for providing daily on-site supervision and assistance to staff, overseeing program schedules, staff development, medication management, and maintaining positive relationships with participants.   • Provide oversight of medication management.
  • Ensures staff obtains necessary information during the intake process, and that they collaboratively document participant progress in MHP’s electronic health records system.
  • Handles critical situations and provides safety and reassurance to all participants, and staff members.
  • Provide data for written reports requested by city, state, or federal funding sources.
  • Responsible for shared rotating on-call duties in the event of calls out, staff emergencies, etc.

Qualifications

Required

  • Minimum of a high school diploma; Associate’s Degree preferred.
  • 2+ years of supervisory experience (including internships or volunteering).
  • 2+ years of mental health experience (including internships or volunteering).
  • Ability to be trained in medication monitoring within 30 days of hire.
  • Certified or has the ability to be certified in First Aid/CPR.
  • Basic computer skills including desktop computing, e-mail, time sheet management, electronic health records, internet research, etc.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel.
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
  • Strong skillsets in oral and written communication, cultural competence, interpersonal relationships and teamwork, attention to detail, customer service, time management, autonomy, problem solving and organization.
  • Ability to work independently and to carry out assignments to completion.
  • Must possess a valid driver’s license in good standing.
  • Effective November, 15, 2021, all new employees will be required to be fully vaccinated against COVID-19 before beginning employment.

Preferred

MHP hiring a Program Supervisor to provide daily on-site and supervision and assistance to staff and report to the Residential Director as required. Program Supervisors oversee program schedules and staff development. Program Supervisors also oversee medication management, maintain positive relationships with participants and develop activities to help them work towards achieving their recovery goals. Program Supervisors help to maintain electronic health record requirements.

WHAT YOU'LL DO

Manages program staff schedule.
  • In conjunction with Program Director, designs activities and programs that support participants’ goals. Supervises staff in implementation of these activities and programs.
  • Engage family, friends and other supporters per participants in their recovery goals (if applicable).
  • Ensure proper application of program, agency, and quality assurance and compliance procedures.
  • Work with participants and staff as needed to ensure continuity of care.
  • Provide oversight of medication management.
  • Ensures staff obtains necessary information during the intake process, and that they collaboratively document participant progress in MHP’s electronic health records system; approves entries as required. Ensures medication is entered and maintained in EMAR.
  • Handles critical situations and provides safety and reassurance to all participants, and staff members.
  • Provide data for written reports requested by city, state, or federal funding sources.
  • Responsible for shared rotating on-call duties in the event of calls out, staff emergencies, etc.
  • Other duties as assigned to fulfill MHP's mission.
Requirements:

  • Ability to work independently and to carry out assignments to completion within parameters of instructions given, prescribed routines, and standard accepted practices.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS

  • Sit at a desk with ergonomically appropriate equipment.
  • Lift up to 15 lbs.
  • Ability to maintain regular, punctual attendance and be available for flexible work schedule, including evenings and weekends and/or work holidays/overtime as needed.
  • Ability to drive a multi-passenger van (including at night) and physically support passengers during ingress/egress as needed and/or assist disabled individuals in an emergency evacuation.
  • Walk around multiple MHP locations and in the community in areas that may not be handicap accessible. May be required to have the ability to enter, exit and drive personal or agency vehicles and/or public transportation, including in inclement weather, carry computer equipment, and ascend/descend stairs carrying computer equipment. Must be able to travel to all sites supported, and MHP’s main offices as needed.
  • Climb up to 3 flights stairs, multiple times per shift, to complete participant check-ins.
  • Remain awake during entire shift, including break times.
  • Frequent talking and listening. Must be able to talk, listen, retain information and speak clearly and accurately; possible exposure to loud and/or vulgar language and hostile gestures.
  • Ability to perform the essential job functions while meeting qualitative and/or quantitative productivity standards safely and successfully with or without a reasonable accommodation.
