  5. Physical strength and dexterity to lift (must be able to lift 50 lbs), move and handle equipment

  7. Able to be on feet for long periods of time
  8. Must be able to be flexible in assignments and support last minute changes


    Purpose of job:

    1. Maintaining the exterior and interior of the building.
    2. Facilitate setup and tear down for events happening during the week and for scheduled events.


    Hours and pay:

    20-30 hours per week, flexible on days/times. Potentially more during the summer.

    Hourly pay will be based on skill and experience.


    Role and responsibilities:

    1. (during summer months) weekly mowing and maintain watering schedule
    2. Mop floors in building.
    3. (during winter months) snow removal on sidewalks
    4. Work with various vendors for building needs and inspections
    5. Perform routine and preventative maintenance.
    6. Complete additional periodic maintenance or custodial projects assigned by the supervisor.
    7. Follow and complete daily, weekly, and monthly facilities schedules as assigned.
    8. Perform scheduled setups and/or teardown duties including, but not limited to, set up tables 6’ or larger, set up/take down chairs, event decorations, area rugs, supplies, picking up debris from the floors, etc.
    9. Perform scheduled cleaning for meetings, events, etc. including, but not limited to, mopping/sweeping floors, vacuuming, wiping/cleaning tables and chairs, picking up debris and/or taking out trash cans, etc.
    10. Report any and all issues to the Facilities Supervisor
    11. Perform regular custodial equipment maintenance and upkeep
    12. Provide custodial support as assigned for groups and other special events.
    13. Maintain all facility bathrooms to include detailed cleaning of floors, counters, toilets, etc. and restocking paper products
    14. Monitor the exterior campus grounds to check for trash and dispose accordingly
    15. Follow all safety precautions and instructions for assigned tasks, ensuring a safe and hazard-free environment across locations
    16. Unlock/disarm and secure/alarm rooms and buildings as needed
