The Quality Assurance Analyst at Camin Cargo Control Inc. supports the Laboratory Manager in maintaining the policies and procedures established in the laboratory Quality Assurance Program. This role involves ensuring the completion of daily, weekly, and monthly program requirements, assisting in the completion of control charts, ordering calibration standards, and supporting laboratory activities that affect the Quality System, particularly the Quality Assurance System.

Responsibilities

  • Works with Laboratory Manager’s to monitor and maintain the Quality Assurance schedule for all laboratories within specified areas of responsibility.
  • Completes and maintains laboratory quality records as needed, ensuring documentation and files are accurate, complete and within acceptable tolerances.
  • Monitors and maintains appropriate control charts based on the guidelines documented in the Laboratory Quality Program SOP. Documents findings and corrective actions and ensures equipment found to be out of calibration is placed out of service until proper actions have been implemented.
  • Audits laboratory records and laboratory personnel training records for compliance to appropriate SOP.
  • Monitors and maintains inventory of calibration and control standards for various locations.
  • Assist the Laboratory Manager in the ordering of equipment and supplies for the laboratory.
  • Provides scheduled status reports for various locations indicating exceptions to the quality schedule, equipment status, training status, TMA status and status of open corrective actions.

Qualifications

Required

  • B.S./B.A. (preferable Science Degree) or a minimum of two years in the petroleum industry or a minimum of one year of Quality Assurance experience.
  • Proficiency with the computer and ability to work well with excel style spreadsheets.
  • Ability to work well both individually and in a team to complete projects.

1.0 Corporate Job Title

2.0 Reporting Relationships

Laboratory Manager but works closely with Laboratory Director and/or Quality Assurance Director as it pertains to specific requirements of the quality system.


3.0 Position Summary

Supports Laboratory Manager’s in maintaining the policies and procedures established in the laboratory Quality Assurance Program. Ensures completion of daily, weekly and monthly program requirements, assisting in the completion of control charts, ordering calibration standards and supporting laboratory activities that affect the Quality System and principally, the Quality Assurance System.


4.0 Minimum Requirements

• Requires a B.S./B.A. (preferable Science Degree) or a minimum of two years in the petroleum industry or a minimum of one year of Quality Assurance experience.
