POSITION TITLE: Delivery Driver


COUNTABLE TO: Warehouse Manager


SUMMARY STATEMENT:


To deliver parts to customers within a designated territory while also enhancing customer support. May also require parts pickups from suppliers.

MAJOR AREAS OF ACCOUNTABILITY:


  • Load orders for each days delivery schedule. Verify that orders are delivered to correct location/customer.
  • Enhance relationships with current customers by providing prompt, professional, and courteous service.
  • Maintain a working knowledge of company products, services, and procedures.
  • Drive light vehicles in order to deliver parts and pick up supplies. This will include the general upkeep of cleanliness and fuel levels of company vehicles.
  • Suggest improved methods and practices for the business operations when experience and common sense dictates.
COMMON PERFORMANCE STANDARDS:


Expected to adhere to the following:

  • Employee shall not use any narcotics or hallucinogens except when prescribed in the treatment by a physician or dentist. When narcotics or hallucinogens are prescribed, employee shall notify the Manager.
  • Employees shall not appear for work or be at work while under the influence of alcoholic beverages.
  • Employees shall operate equipment in a careful and prudent manner.
  • Employees shall not allow personal issues to become a distraction to customers and coworkers (this includes excessive use of phone/internet).
  • Expected to think/reason, without assistance, and to problem solve when situation requires.
  • Expected to deal with customers and coworkers in a positive and respectful manner and perform duties in a safe and respectful manner.
EQUIPMENT USED:


Phone, Computer, Light Vehicles.

WORK ENVIRONMENT:


  • Loading orders from the warehouse.
  • Drive to customers delivering or picking up parts.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:


  • Level of exertion: May require lifting or moving of heavy objects (50 lbs).
