Caregiver

Our home care services promote dignity and independence for residents across West Michigan, including Ada, Kentwood, Wyoming, Grand Rapids, Grandville, Hudsonville, Jenison, Byron Center, and surrounding areas. We offer personal care, companionship, homemaking, dementia care, and end-of-life care, driven by strong relationships with our clients, their families, and our staff.

Job Type: Part-time

Duties:

• Assist with personal care (bathing, grooming, toileting, dressing, transfers)
• Perform light housekeeping and laundry tasks
• Provide companionship and conversation
• Offer transportation to appointments and help with errands
• Communicate needs and concerns to ownership
• Ensure compliance with company policies and standards
• Interact professionally with staff, families, doctors, and agencies
• Accurate reporting and charting of events during each shift

Qualifications

• Ability to work with physically or mentally impaired clients, possibly having a form of dementia or Alzheimer’s
• Ability to lift, bend, stoop, and pivot
• Ability to read, hear, speak, write, and communicate on the phone and in person
• Ability to communicate with others effectively and professionally with a high degree of sensitivity and respect, timeliness, attire, policies, and procedures
• Ability to perform household tasks, cooking/meal prep, feeding, bathing, and personal care services
• Experience with care giving or as a home health aide preferred
• Current driver’s license, insurance, and good driving record
• High school degree or equivalent, and be at least 18 years old
