Responsibilities

  • Streamline the Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable processes to ensure timely and accurate financial transactions within the first three months.
  • Prepare monthly financial statements (balance sheet and P&L) for three US companies, ensuring accuracy and compliance with financial regulations.
  • Lead variance and expense analysis, providing insights for monthly financial review meetings.
  • Administer US payroll and consulting fees, ensuring compliance with federal and state regulations.
  • Handle sales tax filings, payroll tax, and ensure all US-related tax compliances are met within the first six months.
  • Prepare for the year-end audit by organizing all necessary documents and coordinating with auditors to ensure a smooth audit process.
  • Conduct thorough reconciliations of bank accounts, corporate credit card statements, and intercompany transactions to ensure financial accuracy and integrity.
  • Conduct an operational audit of the current financial processes within the first 60 days, identifying short-term concerns and making recommendations for improvements.
  • Implement a 30-60-90 day action plan to address immediate financial issues and ensure all financial processes are optimized.
  • Assist in the integration of ERP systems and manage Concur expense reports within the first 90 days.
  • Oversee US health benefits, dental benefits, and WCB, ensuring all employee benefits are accurately managed and documented.
  • Assist in the onboarding of new employees, providing necessary financial training and support.

Key Performance Objectives (KPOs):

Major Objectives:

1. Accounts Management and Financial Reporting:

- Within the first three months, streamline the Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable processes to ensure timely and accurate financial transactions.

- Prepare monthly financial statements (balance sheet and P&L) for three US companies, ensuring accuracy and compliance with financial regulations.

- Lead variance and expense analysis, providing insights for monthly financial review meetings.

4. Insurance and Benefits Management:

- Oversee US health benefits, dental benefits, and WCB, ensuring all employee benefits are accurately managed and documented. Request and manage US insurance certificates as needed.

5. Employee Onboarding and Support:

- Assist in the onboarding of new employees, providing necessary financial training and support to ensure smooth transitions into the company's financial systems.

6. Strategic Financial Initiatives:

- Develop and lead long-term strategic financial initiatives, such as upgrading financial reporting systems or implementing new financial controls, within the first year to enhance the companys financial stability.
