The Inventory Control Supervisor at MBV-CA LLC is responsible for overseeing the timeliness and accuracy of unloading/loading of inbound/outbound shipments of raw materials/ingredients, managing production aspects including scheduling, ordering, and communicating with customers and vendors, and maintaining planning systems. Responsibilities

  • Follow all safety procedures and work as safe as possible at all times.
  • Direct the daily activities of several Warehouse Technicians across three shifts.
  • Communicate with customers on all aspects of their schedule and orders.
  • Order all raw materials for production runs by creating and tracking Purchase Orders.
  • Work closely with vendors to ensure all materials are delivered on time.
  • Maintain Just In Time ordering and minimal remaining on hand inventory.
  • Make order changes in the event of a schedule change.
  • Complete accurate work in Avail, ILS, SAP, and any other applicable systems.
  • Order bottles for all/some hot fill lines.
  • Keep raw material/ingredient storage areas clean and organized.
  • Participate in departmental GMP zone audits and Plant Quality System implementation and audits.
  • Conduct/distribute daily physical inventories for accurate raw material counts.
  • Rotate all customers’ products by oldest date received for materials and first expired for ingredients.
  • Accurate loading of outbound finished goods and unloading of inbound shipments.
  • Transfer materials/ingredients from storage locations to Production Lines, Blend Room, or Customer’s Stock-transfers.
  • Handle all Material/Ingredient quality Holds and their dispositions.
  • Coordinate the destruction of Material/Ingredients on site or off.
  • Manage payroll hours and overtime of direct reports.
  • Write disciplinary/corrective actions and document progress.
  • Train new employees within the department.
  • Write performance evaluations for direct reports.
  • Maintain a positive work atmosphere and interaction with customers, co-workers, and management.

Qualifications

Required

  • H.S. Diploma or G.E.D
  • 3 years general office experience
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel/ Outlook, SAP, and Shipping Solutions

Position Overview: The Warehouse Supervisor directs the daily activities of receiving, storing, maintaining and distributing materials/ingredient, tools and equipment through direct reports within the production environment. This role manages timeliness and accuracy of unloading/loading of inbound/outbound shipments of raw materials/ ingredients and putting away to their correct locations. Managing aspects of production including scheduling multiple production lines, ordering all raw materials for associated lines, scheduling delivery trucks, managing PO’s to completion, communicating with customers and vendors, maintaining planning systems, and other office administrative duties. The Warehouse Supervisor is also responsible for the proper documentation, physical inventory, handling, and storage of all plant produced, as well as imported, finished goods, at multiple storage locations and warehouses. This position requires forklift & hazmat certification.

Language Skills: English proficiency required. Spanish is a plus.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Follow all safety procedures and work as safe as possible at all times
  • Direct the daily activities of several Lift Truck Operators, across three shifts.
  • Write schedules for multiple production lines.
  • Communicate with customers on all aspects of their schedule and orders.
  • Work closely with vendors to ensure all materials are delivered on time.
  • Maintain minimal remaining on hand inventory.
  • Make order changes in the event of a schedule change.
  • Email all schedule changes, update schedule monitors daily & with changes.
  • Complete accurate work in Avail, ILS, SAP, and any other applicable systems.
  • Responsible for keeping raw material/ingredient storage areas clean and organized.
  • Put together a weekly work schedule based on the production Lines that are running.
  • Participate in departmental GMP zone audits.
  • Participate, as required by the department manager, in Plant Quality System implementation and subsequent audits.
  • Must be certified to ship DOT-Hazardous Materials in Transportation 49
  • CFR Parts 171-178 and Hazardous Waste Management – EPA (RCRA).
  • Must be forklift certified to assist with loading/unloading when necessary.
  • Conduct/distribute the necessary physical inventories on a daily basis, to assure the accuracy of raw material counts for all customers.
  • Rotates all customers’ products by oldest date received for materials and first expired for ingredients.
  • Accurate unloading of inbound shipments by properly documenting any changes on Bill of Ladings (Lots, Manufacturing Dates, Expiration Dates, Quantities, etc.).
  • Notifies Production Team of any discrepancies on Bills of Lading to prevent any down time on the lines.
  • Leads the transfer materials/ ingredients from storage locations to Production Lines, Blend Room, or Customer’s Stock-transfers.
  • Responsible in handling all Material/Ingredient quality Holds and their dispositions.
  • Responsible for coordinating the destruction of Material/Ingredients either on site or off.
  • Manage payroll hours and overtime of direct reports.
  • Write disciplinary/corrective actions and document progress.
  • Train new employees within the department.
  • Conduct necessary physical inventories, to assure the accuracy of finished goods.
  • Conduct necessary performance reviews.
  • Format and prepare required reports and documents.

  • Participate, as required by Department Manager, in Plant Quality System implementation and subsequent audits.

Education and/or Experience:

  • SAP experience is desirable.
