Responsibilities
- Provide companionship through conversation, activities, light housekeeping, running errands, and transporting/accompanying clients to appointments.
- Assist with medication reminders.
- Provide personal care assistance including preparing meals, bathing, feeding, toileting, transferring, encouraging exercises, and grooming.
- Communicate and report concerns and changes in condition to the office and care team members to ensure client health and quality of life.
Qualifications
Required
- Minimum of 1-year experience caring for a senior or adult.
- Warmth and compassion for people under your care.
- Ability to competently communicate and perform assigned tasks.
- Completion of a criminal background check, BMV check, TB test, and drug screen.
- Valid driver's license, current auto insurance, and reliable transportation.
- Ability to stoop, reach, and lift in accordance with personal care situations.
Preferred
- Licensed Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA), Home Health Aide (HHA), or Direct Support Professional (DSP) certifications and experience.
