Responsibilities

  • Installing pipes and plumbing fixtures in a home
  • Maintaining systems that provide water and gas and remove waste from homes and businesses
  • Selecting the materials to install in a plumbing system
  • Reviewing building blueprints to determine what’s needed to install a plumbing system
  • Inspecting and operating equipment to troubleshoot plumbing systems
  • Testing pipe systems
  • Repairing system leaks
  • Clearing obstructions from drains and plumbing systems
  • Troubleshooting plumbing problems and determining how to fix these issues
  • Preparing a budget to cover plumbing supplies and equipment
  • Estimating costs of plumbing installments and repairs
  • Offering recommendations to customers

Qualifications

Required

  • At least one year of experience in residential plumbing service or installation, preferred
  • Must have knowledge of the phases of residential plumbing
  • Learn & be compliant with all standards & practices for data recording & reporting on invoices
  • Troubleshooting & diagnosing and explaining all problems and options to clients
  • Apply knowledge to perform thorough and accurate plumbing inspections and communicate findings with clients
  • Must comply with all safety regulations and processes
  • Ability to deal effectively with customers and solve technical problems by using experience and personal influence to provide resolution
  • Excellent customer service skills
  • Knowledge of plumbing practices and codes
  • Troubleshooting
  • Strong use of Power tools and Plumbing equipment
  • Knowledge of Industrial, commercial, and residential plumbing practices
  • Works well independently
  • Critical thinking skills
  • Strong communication skills
