The Utility Technician is responsible for performing preventive and unscheduled maintenance activities, troubleshooting and diagnosing problems with plant support equipment, and maintaining records of such activities. This role works closely with the maintenance manager to ensure quick problem diagnosis and prevent downtime. Responsibilities

  • Perform preventive maintenance and corrective maintenance adhering to standard cGMP, GEP procedures, and safety regulations.
  • Direct and perform mechanical and preventive maintenance as well as major repairs on all facility equipment.
  • Solve complex mechanical and electrical system problems.
  • Coordinate inspections and testing of machinery and equipment to detect malfunctions.
  • Schedule and coordinate wall releases, repairs, and installation of cable outlets and services, plastering, painting, and other complex building projects.
  • Support the tasks of the Utility Supervisor in planning, assessing, maintaining, and implementing improvements/innovations to ensure the reliability of utility supply infrastructure used by standard rules, including GMP, safety regulations, and compliance regulations.
  • Support project management for facility-related projects, including but not limited to building renovations and construction, equipment installation and/or placement, safety and environmental compliance, mechanical system maintenance, and energy conservation.
  • Support maintenance performance assessment and continuous improvement implementation.
  • Improve skills and knowledge to operate, repair, and maintain utility machinery.
  • Speak up about improvements, maintenance cost efficiency, spare parts efficiency.
  • Oversee the dismantling of damaged machinery and equipment and the installation of new or repaired parts.
  • Coordinate and ensure maintenance logs, spare parts requests, preventive maintenance inspection records, and other necessary maintenance documentation.
  • Promote all safety, environmental, and energy management systems.
  • Lead and supervise other mechanical work.
  • Install and maintain piping systems and related hydraulic and pneumatic equipment, as well as repair and replace gauges, valves, pressure regulators, and related equipment.
  • Value Added to the success of the company.
  • Play a role in ensuring the reliability of utility infrastructure through maintenance, repairs, and innovations to support smooth production in meeting product supply requirements.

Qualifications

Required

  • Possesses knowledge of Utility machinery, equipment, or apparatus (Compressed Air, Boiler, Power House), WTP (including Purified Water), WWTP, and HVAC.
  • Has knowledge and experience in Preventive and Predictive Maintenance, especially for Utility machinery, equipment, or apparatus.
  • Proficient and systematic in troubleshooting machinery, equipment, or apparatus within the Utility scope.
  • Willing to work on a shift schedule or based on emergency on-call duty outside regular working hours.
  • Able to work effectively within a team.
  • Possesses conflict resolution and ambiguity-handling skills.
  • Experience in the food/beverage industry.
  • Previous Experience in Manufacturing or Production Environment.
  • Ability to exert up to 100 lbs. of force occasionally, and/or up to 50 lbs. of force frequently, and/or up to 25 lbs. of force constantly to move objects.
  • Must be able to lift 75 to 100 pounds occasionally.
  • Exposure to loud noises in our production facility.
