City Veterinary Care is seeking a Veterinary Receptionist to join their team. The role involves maintaining the visual appeal of the hospital reception area, greeting and welcoming clients and patients, answering questions and triaging concerns, scheduling appointments, and processing payments. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 2 years of veterinary reception experience, be experienced with Cornerstone software, and possess strong communication skills, organization, and computer skills.

We operate a non-profit organization, The Toby Project, the objective of which is to solve New York City's pet overpopulation problem (approximately 10,000 dogs and cats lose their lives each year in our city's shelter system). Job DescriptionJob duties include, but are not limited to:
Maintain the visual appeal or the hospital reception area, greet and welcome clients and patients, answer questions and triage client concerns, answer calls or emails and direct to the appropriate party for resolution, schedule appointments to maximize efficiency and daily flow, check in and check out clients and process payments. Our receptionists offer friendly emotional support in a compassionate and discreet manner during times of need to our clients and must be comfortable with various medical outcomes.
May be exposed to loud barking and brief periods of unpleasant odors.

Pay range: $22-27/hr
