The Service/Install Technician at NABCO Entrances, Inc. is responsible for installing, servicing, and repairing pedestrian power/automated doors and glass panels.   • Drive to the jobsite to assess customer's service/repair needs and complete repair of the product to the customer's satisfaction.
  • Consistently seek and promote opportunities for service, sales, and preventative maintenance contracts.
  • Acquire knowledge of all products and pricing to price, market, and sell replacement products and repair parts.
  • Develop mechanical skills, learn new techniques, and remain current with product requirements for installation materials to meet safety specifications and maintain quality workmanship.
  • Ensure that service-related docs and timesheets are completed and submitted accurately and in a timely manner.
  • Collect COD's when applicable; solve problems with collections or scope of work changes.
  • Maintain inventory on truck. Know all parts, part numbers, and part descriptions.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

Required

  • High school diploma or equivalency
  • 2 to 3 years’ experience installing and servicing pedestrian power doors
  • Stable background in glass installation industry and knowledge of power doors
  • Valid driver’s license

Preferred

  • Experience in outside sales
  • AAADM certification

Position Summary

Working Conditions and Physical Demands

Work is performed at customer sites with exposure to extreme weather conditions; noisy, dusty, and dirty environments; and motorized equipment that pose potential safety hazards. This is an active role that includes traveling and significant driving. Hours of work will vary including being in an on-call rotational schedules for after hours and weekend work. In addition, office equipment such as a computer and cell phone are used. Must be able to safely lift 50 pounds regularly.
