  • Communicate with various departments, outside vendors, manufacturers, and sales representatives for parts and repairs.
  • Review blueprints, sketches, machine parts, or specifications to maintain all equipment.
  • Dismantle machines or equipment to examine parts for defect or to remove defective parts.
  • Use tools ranging from hand and power tools to precision measuring instruments and electronic testing devices.
  • Assemble, install, or repair wiring, electrical or electronic components, pipe systems, plumbing, machinery, or equipment.
  • Use Maintenance Pro software to schedule and record all maintenance tasks.
  • Assist managers and supervisors in other duties as needed.

Qualifications

Required

  • Minimum 5 years prior industrial equipment, machine, and facility maintenance experience.
  • Technical certifications in electrical, mechanical, pneumatics, and/or hydraulics from a technical college or program; 2-3 years related experience and/or training; or an equivalent combination of education and experience.

Preferred

  • Experience with overhead cranes and forklifts.
  • Programmable Logic Controller (PLC) experience.
  • Knowledge of Siemens or Allen Bradley ladder logic.
  • Experience with 480-volt 3 phase circuits dealing with electrical supply and manufacturing equipment.

Position Overview

The purpose of this position is to repair and maintain machine tools and industrial machines, while applying the knowledge of mechanics, shop mathematics, metal properties, layout, and machining procedures.


Essential Job Duties and Responsibilities

· Works to supply products and services that meet or exceed the customers’ expectations. Follows the documented quality systems and processes to satisfy our customers’ needs.

· Observes machines or equipment to diagnose machine malfunction and determine the need for adjustment or repair.

· Manage part inventory for machine repairs.

· Perform routine preventive maintenance to ensure that machines and equipment continue to run smoothly, building systems operate efficiently, and the physical condition of buildings does not deteriorate. Must coordinate time with production supervisors to complete.

· Communicate verbally and in writing with several departments, outside venders, manufacturers, and sales representatives in the coordination of obtaining parts and making repairs.

· Reviews blueprints, sketches, machine parts, or specifications to determine the best means to maintain all equipment in all buildings.

· Operating Vehicles, Mechanized Devices, or Equipment: Running, maneuvering, navigating, or driving vehicles or mechanized equipment, such as forklifts, overhead cranes, company vehicles, etc.

· Making Decisions and Solving Problems: Analyzing information and evaluating results to choose the best solution and solve problems.

· Repairing and Maintaining Equipment: Servicing, repairing, adjusting, and testing machines, devices, and equipment that operate primarily based on mechanical principles.

· Performing General Physical Activities: Performing physical activities that require considerable use of your arms and legs and moving your whole body, such as climbing, lifting, balancing, walking, stooping, and handling of materials.

· Tools: Personal protective equipment (hard hat, safety glasses, electrical PPE, etc.), welding machines, hammers, drain cleaning equipment, computers, and phone.

· Technology: Maintenance Pro software, Internet browser software, electronic mail software, and spreadsheet software.
