Responsibilities

  • Sales Planning: Align internally and with the account on volume expectations on annual basis, develop and maintain a strong promotional calendar, sales alignment with operation team through TMS and S&OP each month, monitor sales performance weekly and follow up with distributors and branches.
  • Profitability: Review sales data to ensure correct item promotion with proper price point, monthly review of P&L to ensure profitability is maximized, monitor promotions for correct PPA each month, follow up on execution and spend guidelines with distributors.
  • Grow Sales: Weekly market tours with operations team to identify opportunities, review all opportunities with account category team, participate in monthly sales operations meetings, present and gain authorization on new items, monitor IRI and other data points to identify shifts in category or brand performance.
  • Manage Accounts / Customer Development: Collaborate with accounts to ensure AC F&S is part of their daily business plans, maintain day-to-day files with account, track all AR to ensure account is current, set and maintain proper POG in the account, build strong relationships with key customers.

Qualifications

Required

  • High School degree
  • 3 years' CPG experience
  • 3-5 years Account Call responsibility
  • 3-5 years Sales experience
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Excel, Word, PowerPoint and Outlook

The Account Manager position is responsible for accounts: Acme, Redner's and Giant. They are responsible for developing profitable programs, negotiating promotions, space, displays and other programs with the account. The goal is to deliver sustainable and profitable growth for all AC Food & Snack brands.

This role will also be responsible for developing collaborative business plans with each account to achieve volume objectives for the company and the sales team. The Account Manager will also work with the operations team in alignment with distributors and branches to deliver 100% execution of all account coops and programs.

This position is remote, but the candidate must reside in the state of PA.

Duties & Responsibilities:

Sales Planning

  • Alignment internally and with the account on volume expectations on annual basis.
  • Develop and maintain a strong promotional calendar to deliver profitable growth in the account to support the operations team growth goals.
  • Sales alignment with operation team through TMS and S&OP each month.
  • Monitor sales performance weekly and follow up with distributors and branches.

Profitability

  • Review sales data to ensure we are promoting the correct items with the proper price point for the market area.
  • Monthly review of P&L to ensure profitability is maximized.
  • Monitor promotions for correct PPA each month on account and Wise side.
  • Follow up on execution and spend guidelines with distributors to ensure goals are delivered for both parties.
  • Communicate to distributor and branches with displays, programs, and create incentives to drive volume.

Grow Sales

  • Weekly market tours with operations team (when possible) to identify opportunities and develop plans to close gaps.
  • Review all opportunities with account category team to identify all space and display options.
  • Work with Marketing and RGM to maintain proper pricing to deliver maximum profits and sales.
  • Participate in monthly sales operations meetings with branches and distributors to communicate upcoming promotional plans and get feedback on past promotions.
  • Present and gain authorization on all new items for ACF&S brands for each account.
  • Monitor IRI and other data points to identify shifts in category or brand performance.

Manage Accounts / Customer Development

  • Collaborate with accounts to ensure AC F&S is part of their daily business plans.
  • Sharing the sales data after key events with the account to validate we are a part of their growth.
  • Maintain day-to-day files with account such as authorization lists, promotions, sales reviews, and entering promotions in the accounts system. Same information is also processed in the AC F&S system.
  • Track all AR to ensure account is current and correct promotional allowances are deducted.
  • Set and maintain proper POG in the account.
  • Build strong relationships with key customers to support company initiatives.
  • Ensure customer's issues are understood and work to resolve them.
  • Discussing service issues with distributor management to resolve current issue and create a plan to prevent future issues.

QUALIFICATIONS

  1. Education: HS degree required, Bachelor's Degree in Business Management, Sales or Marketing. Master's degree preferred.
  2. Experience: 3 years' CPG experience, 3-5 years Account Call responsibility, 3-5 years Sales experience. Position Requires: Knowledge of Microsoft Excel, Word, PowerPoint and Outlook
