  • Install office and cubicle furniture, assemble purchased furniture, and replace cabinets.
  • Adjust keyboard trays and computers, replace water filters, clean barbeque (BBQ) grills, and perform related tasks.
  • Hang pictures, white boards, office signage, and climb/work from a 6-foot ladder.
  • Inspect conference rooms and push chairs back under the conference tables.
  • Adjust or independently move, deliver tables or chairs to meet customer expectations.
  • Organize and maintain Central Support storage.
  • Set up and decorate the HQs’ holiday tree and other holiday items with guidance from customer.
  • Adjust event furniture (folding chairs and tables) when needed.
  • Conduct daily tours of the HQs building to survey and monitor housekeeping activities.

Qualifications

  • Proven experience as a laborer or in a similar role
  • Knowledge of use and maintenance of tools and equipment
  • Attention to detail and conscientiousness
  • Very good physical condition and strength

The Building People, LLC, has a position open for a Temporary Laborer to provide support to government agency. This will be a temporary position covering the fall months of september-november.

The primary role of organization is to coordinate requests for reservations and logistical support related to the Auditorium, meeting spaces, training rooms and special events within the HQs building. As such, the contractor provide support to include repairs, moves, event set-up/breakdown, logistics and miscellaneous duties. This labor position will require extended periods of standing and walking during an 8-hour shift throughout the HQs building and performance of physical tasks associated with small-scale, short- duration repairs involving:

  • Replacement of furniture hinges
  • Repairing loose furniture handles
  • Installing pictures and white boards
  • Installing office and cubicle furniture
  • Assembly of purchased furniture
  • Replacing cabinets
  • Adjustments to keyboard trays and computers
  • Replacement of water filters, cleaning barbeque (BBQ) grills and related tasks
  • Hanging pictures, white boards, office signage
  • Climbing/working from a 6-foot ladder
  • Inspecting conference rooms and pushing chairs back under the conference tables
  • Assisting or independently adjusting, moving, or delivering tables or chairs so that a meeting set ups meet the expectations of a customer.
