Responsibilities

• Practice within the scope of training, license, certification, or registration, where applicable, and as required by law and regulation.
• Performs tasks as delegated and directed by the registered nurse.
• Assist clients with Activities of Daily Living and/or Instrumental Activities of Daily Living.
• Maintain general order, safety, and cleanliness of Client area.
• Communicate any changes in Client condition or occurrences to registered nurse.
• Maintain chart documentation of care provided in accordance with the written plan of care.
• Practice safety and infection control methods.
• Demonstrate proper transfer and lift techniques using good body mechanic techniques.
• Maintain confidentiality & privacy of any PHI per HIPAA requirements.
• Exhibit competency in the observance of Universal Precautions by knowing standard precautions, washing hands before and after patient care, wearing gloves and other PPE as required.

Qualifications

Required

• 1 year caregiving experience, preferred
• Valid NC CNA certificate
• Valid driver’s license and proof of automobile insurance
