  • Schedule regular cleaning of the back of house.
  • Optimize profit for the restaurant by managing food costs, waste, and scheduled hours.
  • Open the store in a timely manner and place orders and track inventory.
  • Perform analysis on productivity, labor, scheduling, and kitchen operations.
  • Ensure procedures are followed regarding deliveries and catering orders.
  • Maintain team safety and a safe environment for team members and guests.
  • Hire team members for the kitchen area and delegate daily tasks.
  • Recommend team members for leadership development program.
  • Participate in biweekly Leadership meetings and special projects as required.

Qualifications

We are hiring a highly motivated Culinary (Kitchen) Director at Chick-fil-A St. Augustine, FL

General Responsibilities: To provide a "remarkable" experience with every guest you come in contact with.

Essential Functions:

Effectively execute the vision of the restaurant and optimize resources and team to create efficiency, food production, quality and cleanliness of the restaurant

Work with other Directors and Chiefs to ensure all standards are being met and/or exceeded and all culinary staff are sufficiently trained to perform all tasks in the kitchen area

Ensure culinary team is trained in proper food handling techniques and up to date regarding Pathways, as required

Ensure all equipment is maintained and repaired appropriately, as necessary

Ensure clean, safe working environment, free of hazards and debris

Meet all standards of food production as detailed by Chick-fil-A

Meet standards regarding speed of service during hours of operation

Weigh waste chicken daily, log results, provide feedback to kitchen crew with the goal of hitting waste targets

Ensure proper storage for cold/frozen foods

Check expiration dates

Schedule regular cleaning of back of house

Optimize profit for the restaurant by keeping tabs on food costs, waste, and scheduled hours and time punches

Opens store in a timely manner

Place orders and track inventory

Perform analysis on productivity, labor, scheduling and other areas of kitchen operations to ensure efficiency and profitability are key drivers in all decisions

Ensure procedures are followed regarding deliveries and catering orders

Follow all safety and security procedures for non-daylight-hour deliveries and ensure team members are knowledgeable

Maintain team safety including appropriate safety briefings

Maintain a safe (including serving safe food) and secure environment for team members and guests

Be accountable for maintaining food safety systems

Work with Director of Talent Management to hire team members who are motivated and capable of working within the kitchen area

Delegate daily tasks to team members in order to develop a sense of ownership

Recommend team members for leadership development program (LDP)

Participate in biweekly Leadership meetings

Special projects as required by the Owner/Operator and/or Executive Director

Partners with Training and Operations Directors to ensure team members are trained on service requirements, and review service processes with Operator and Leadership Team

Partners with Culinary Captains and Quality Captains to ensure communication between team members on critical items

Performs weekly assessment and feedback regarding current team member behaviors

Assist with selection, interviewing, hiring of team members.

Perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements:

  • Must have 3 Years as a Culinary/Kitchen Director leading culinary team members
  • Must have experience managing team/shift, meeting speed of service goals, managing food waste, and scheduling team members for varied shifts
