The Cable Installation Technician is responsible for building network cable and equipment infrastructure at U.S. diplomatic posts outside the Continental US. Responsibilities

  • Work independently in an overseas environment in a US Government Facility.
  • Install, test, calibrate, troubleshoot, and activate private, high-capacity digital wire plant connectivity solutions.
  • Test, troubleshoot, and repair systems using fiber optic cables, intermediate distribution frames, wiring blocks, and Fluke Cable Testing equipment.
  • Installation of Category 6 UTP and Fiber Optic cable.
  • Operate and interpret test equipment such as Fluke 5000 cable tester and Multi Meter.
  • Accomplish construction related activities related to the installation of vertical and horizontal conduit, surface conduit, cabinets, racks, etc.
  • Install and properly terminate TIA/EIA 568 standard twisted pair and TIA/EIA 455 standard fiber optic cabling.
  • Assist users, when directed, with problems, questions, and troubleshooting.
  • Ensure complete compliance with information and infrastructure security requirements as outlined in Scope of Work.
  • Implement network infrastructure modifications to existing networks that would support access to government networks.

Qualifications

Company Main HQ: Fairfax, Virginia
Work Location: Overseas Deployments
**Technicians may be based out of any location worldwide.
Description: Cable Plant Installation Technician to help build network cable and equipment infrastructure at U.S. diplomatic posts outside the Continental US.

Top Secret clearance and U.S. Passport required.
**At this time, we are not accepting candidates who do not have at least a Secret clearance.**


Experience with overseas travel is ideal. Assignments are generally 2 to 4 weeks long.

**Technician Referral Program: Assigned technicians are eligible for a $1,000 referral bonus for any technician they refer, are placed on assignment, and complete the assignment.

Conceras has immediate openings for Sr. Lead Cable Installation Technicians for OCONUS work. All positions require TS and at least five years of team lead experience. We are accepting applications for any experienced Cable Installation Technicians, but preference is currently being given to senior techs with Active or TS OR MID level technicians with active TS.
