Environmental & Physical Demands

  • Occupational noise exposure is high during performance of required duties. Adequate hearing protection is provided and required at all times.
  • Conditions in a Foundry environment seasonally present an heat index with temperatures above 115°F. Ventilation is provided.
  • Occupational exposure to fumes, dust, and casting debris is regularly encountered. Personal Protective Equipment including safety glasses and steel-toed, industrial footwear is required at all times.
  • Duties require repetitive reaching and lifting of objects up to 50 lbs. and occasional lifting of objects up to 60 lbs. (Lifting devices are provided at the workstation to prevent lifting of any object over 25lbs, but there are times when manual lifting is required).
