Responsibilities

  • Working in collaboration with patients to support and assist them throughout their treatment journey
  • Partnering with Medical Treatment Providers to support them in their day-to-day care of patients
  • Processing prior authorization requests, pharmacy transfers, and medication refills
  • Responding to patients' inquiries about their treatment plan and helping to educate them on our services
  • Working in collaboration with our Provider Network in the EHR system to complete administrative tasks associated with appointments, support patient questions & requests, and other duties, as needed
  • Coordinate additional medical testing requests
  • Triage patient care issues to ensure they are handled in a proper and timely manner
  • Participate in process improvement activities to enhance patient care and service
  • Compliance with all HIPAA and telemedicine regulations in accordance with state and federal law
  • Create a positive, professional, patient-oriented work environment for staff, patients and Providers by supporting the mission and values of ADHD Online
  • Collaboration with other departments, as necessary

Qualifications

Required

  • High School Diploma or GED
  • Completion of an accredited medical assistance certification program
  • Current Medical Assistant Certification or Registration

Preferred

  • Two or more years of experience in Family or Internal Medicine, Mental Health, Substance Abuse, or Telehealth

We are looking for a Certified or Registered Medical Assistant to join our growing team! As a Medical Assistant, you will assist with patient inquiries, process medication refills in coordination with our Providers, and work to uphold the highest standard of patient care and safety within our Telemedicine Medical Treatment program. We are dedicated to working hard to support our patients and build our company while maintaining our mission in everything we do. Please note that this is not a patient-facing position. All patient interactions are conducted virtually.


This role will report into the Grandville office. This role will report to the Patient Engagement Manager and will work a hybrid position Monday - Friday 8am - 5pm. We will not be considering remote applicants at this time. The hourly pay rate starts at $18.50 and is dependent on experience.

Education and Experience:

  • High School Diploma or GED required
  • Completion of an accredited medical assistance certification program required
  • Current Medical Assistant Certification or Registration
  • Two or more years of experience in Family or Internal Medicine, Mental Health, Substance Abuse, or Telehealth preferred

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, documentation, and interpersonal skills
  • Adaptable to change and ability to operate accurately and efficiently in a fast paced environment

  • Strong collaboration skills and the ability to successfully work in an in-person or remote team environment
  • Technologically proficient and able to work efficiently in multiple software systems
  • Knowledge of medical and pharmacology terminology
  • High attention to detail, strong organizational skills, and problem-solving/critical thinking capabilities
