Responsibilities

  • Assist with the basic needs of an RCFE (Residential Care Facility for the Elderly).
  • Provide ethical and respectful care to residents.
  • Administer medication to residents in accordance with Title 22 regulations of the California Administrative Code.
  • Order and reorder medication for residents, following explicit physician instructions.
  • Monitor the resident’s medication administration records and report any errors to the Lead Medication Technician and/or Administrator.
  • Progressive documentation and communication with the physician and/or medical professionals.
  • Scheduling of resident doctor’s appointments.
  • Ensure that residents stay stress-free as much as possible by working with medical professionals to reduce pain while promoting engagement and independence.
  • Maintains good composure during emergencies.
  • Maintains a safe work environment.

Qualifications

Required

  • Live-Scan Fingerprint Clearance (company will reimburse after 60 days)
  • Negative T.B. and Health Screening
  • CPR/First Aid certification
  • Previous experience as a caregiver familiar with managing 20-plus residents within an 8-hour shift

Preferred

  • Phlebotomy: 1 year

  • Assist with the basic needs of an RCFE (Residential Care Facility for the Elderly).
  • Provide ethical and respectful care to residents.
  • Administer medication to residents in accordance with Title 22 regulations of the California Administrative Code.

  • Must also have previous experience as a caregiver who is familiar with managing 20-plus residents within an 8-hour shift.
  • Compensation is based on experience.
