Summary

Starlight Academy is a small, innovative child focused center. SLA is currently interviewing for a Lead Preschool teacher, working with a mixed age group of 2-3 years. We are looking for a teacher that is ready to be an energetic team player, who is flexible and supportive of the needs of the children.

Responsibilities include: Planning and implementing monthly lesson planning in accordance to SLA's philosophy of teaching, maintaining an organized classroom environment that promotes learning and exploring for the children and implementation of Developmentally Appropriate Practices.

You will play a vital role in ensuring that our educational programs run smoothly by providing coverage during staff breaks and planning time. Then stepping into the classroom for the afternoon portion of our program.

This position is ideal for someone who is passionate about early childhood education and enjoys working with young children in a supportive role. Hours would be 11:00 am- 5:30 pm Monday through Friday with two-three earlier days a week.
