Responsibilities

  • Providing individual, group, and family therapy using evidence-based modalities such as cognitive-behavioral therapy (CBT), dialectical behavior therapy (DBT), or solution-focused therapy
  • Monitoring and documenting clients' progress in therapy, adjusting treatment plans as needed
  • Collaborating with other healthcare professionals, such as psychiatrists, primary care physicians, or case managers, to coordinate comprehensive care for clients
  • Advocating for clients' rights and access to appropriate mental health services and community resources
  • Maintaining confidentiality and adhering to ethical standards of practice as outlined by state licensing boards and professional organizations

Qualifications

Required

  • Master's or doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution
  • Current and valid licensure as an LCSW, LMHC, or LMFT in the state
  • Expertise in evidence-based treatment modalities for mood disorders, such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT)
  • Strong understanding of psychopharmacology and the ability to collaborate effectively with psychiatrists and other medical professionals
  • Proven track record of delivering successful outcomes in treating mood disorders
  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to establish rapport with clients from diverse backgrounds
