The Certified Surgical Technologist at Metropolitan Healthcare Services Inc. is responsible for assisting the clinical team with patient and procedure room preparation, post-procedure clean-up, operating the C-Arm where applicable, scrubbing in for procedures, cleaning and sterilizing tools and equipment, monitoring and maintaining an adequate inventory of medical supplies, and maintaining a clean and safe working environment. This role may also serve as the Safety Officer within the center and assist in scheduling patients for vascular access procedures and transporting patients within the center.

Qualifications

Required

  • High School Diploma
  • Associates Degree from college accredited by Commission on Accreditation of Allied Health Programs (CAAHEP)
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification

Preferred

  • 1 year assisting in operating room
  • NCCT or AST certification or Certified Surgical Technologist (CST) certification

Schedule:5x8-hour shifts. 40-hours weekly. Facility is open M-F 7:30a-4:30p (end time may vary depending on the last case of the day)

Education, Experience, Certifications
1.High School Diploma (required)
2. Associates Degree from college accredited by Commission on Accreditation of Allied Health Programs (CAAHEP)
3. 1 year assisting in operating room (preferred)
4. Basic Life Support (BLS) (required)

Certifications, Licenses, and Registrations
1. NCCT or AST certification or Certified Surgical Technologist (CST) (preferred)
