Responsibilities

  • Diagnose and repair a variety of commercial heating, cooling, and refrigeration equipment, including packaged rooftop units, boilers (steam and hot water), built-up systems, reciprocating chillers, air handlers, process chillers, and pneumatic controls
  • Perform preventive maintenance tasks as assigned and complete relevant checklists
  • Communicate with vendors for verification of parts availability and to order parts for successful completion of service jobs
  • Assist office personnel in preparing service quotes
  • High level of external customer service initial contact and job follow-up
  • Complete electronic work orders with accuracy, clarity, and including all relevant job transactions
  • Ability to work cohesively with internal and external customers ensuring complete satisfaction with time, service, and delivery

Qualifications

Required

  • Commercial boiler experience is preferred
  • Universal EPA Certification required
  • High school diploma (Associate or Bachelor Degree a plus) with established relevant experience as a commercial/industrial HVAC service technician
  • Highly motivated, results-driven, and able to work independently and make decisions with little guidance
  • Excellent organizational skills for planning and executing your work
  • Ability to evaluate problems and issues and make proper decisions to correct them
  • Must be flexible, and innovative and possess the ability to adjust rapidly to last-minute changes in job schedules
  • Ability to work in a smoke-free, drug-free environment
  • Pass a background check
  • Pass a drug screen test
  • Have a clean driving record and a valid driver's license
  • Be able to climb a ladder and carry up to 50lbs unassisted
  • Authorized to work in the US

Pay

  • $83.03/hour Total Compensation, comprised of:
  • Base Wage 39.00
  • Vacation & Holiday 5.70
  • Union Dues 1.71
