Entry Level Diesel Technician

Position Overview:

TPG is actively seeking an entry level diesel technician to join our team based in the Commerce City, CO area. Our organization supports a leading global company dedicated to building state-of-the-art commercial vehicles. Successful candidates will support the research and development efforts to create the next generation of commercial transport solutions, driving innovation in the automotive and truck industry. In this position you'll work alongside experienced professionals to maintain, diagnose, and repair diesel engines and related prototype systems.

Job Responsibilities:

• Assist in the maintenance, diagnosis, and repair of diesel engines and related systems.
• Perform routine inspections and preventive maintenance on prototype fleet vehicles and equipment.
• Troubleshoot and repair mechanical and electrical issues under the guidance/assistance of senior technicians.
• Utilize diagnostic tools and equipment to identify problems and determine solutions.
• Follow safety protocols and maintain a clean and organized work environment.
• Complete required paperwork and detailed documentation for maintenance and repair activities.
• Participate in ongoing training and development to enhance technical skills.
• Assist with the installation and testing of new parts and systems.

Requirements:

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Diesel Mechanic/Technician Certification from accredited learning institution (preferred) OR 2 Years prior shop experience
• Basic understanding of diesel engine systems and functions.
• Strong mechanical aptitude and willingness to learn.
• Ability to use basic hand tools and diagnostic equipment.
• Good communication and teamwork skills.
• Basic PC skills, including Microsoft Excel, Word, and Outlook.
• Valid driver's license.

• Ability to work in a fast-paced and physically demanding environment.

Additional Requirements:

• Safety Sensitive position requiring all persons assigned to activity be drug-free and successfully pass drug screening prior to employment.
